Salt Springs is a popular park famous for its waterfalls, gorge, and ancient forests.* Over the past few years, there have also been many new trails.* We checked out one of them, the Gorge Trail, as it followed the west rim of the gorge and descended to a waterfall.* We looped around on the Hemlock Trail to see the amazing old growth trees along a boardwalk on the east rim of the gorge.* This is always a beautiful park to visit, and its popularity has exploded in the last few years, particularly with New Yorkers.* There are many miles of trails that explore meadows, woods, streams, ledges, and wetlands- away from the crowded gorge area.* The park is also an ideal place to camp, with some beautiful tentsites near Silver Creek.* Like beer?* Endless Brewing is nearby. *
