Back in April, 2017 I hiked and scouted out "Smokey Mountain" for this falls hunting season and formulated my hunting plan. I set out 3 trail cameras to watch over some deer bedding areas, blackberry meadows, and mountain ridges. I checked the SD cards in the cameras on Monday July 10, 2017. One camera was destroyed by something... I'm assuming something non-human due to it's remote location. Another camera was moved off center by a black bears snout (picture evidence below), and the third camera tagged an early 6+ point velvet racked buck. All three cameras had additional deer activity on them as well. I'm still planning this years hunt and part of it includes me sleeping on the top side of Old "Smokey Mountain" for a night or two...
