We hiked Balm of Gilead Mtn from the Old Farm Clearing trailhead. The road is plowed all the way to the state parking lot at the trailhead, but it is very icy past the plow turnaround. Trail conditions were a mixture of snow, ice, and many washed out areas; perfect conditions for Micro spikes. The view of 13th Lake was very nice, felt like winter with snow flurries and cloudy skies. We had the view to ourselves for a quick snack and a few photos. I hope we get some snow soon so we can ski the great trails in this area. View from the summit:
