The landowners on the approach to Owls Head have apparently decided that last year's weekday only access was manageable and have decided to continue that policy this year.
We will continue to work on a permanent solution that will permit complete access, but at least the mountain isn't shut off altogether. For those who do arrive on a weekend unaware that the trail is closed, we are also working on a sign that directs people to similar alternatives.
