Floodwood Road Condition

Its been quite some time since I've been to the Floodwood Rd area, planning to head there this weekend. Anyone have some recent experience with the road conditions there this spring (is it still mud season in there?). Trying to decide if I need to bring my wife's higher clearance Ford Escape or can I just use my car. Planning on launching into Long Pond from the parking area past St Regis Outpost.
