I was in western PA the other week and on the way home, I stopped by two parks- Roaring Run and Buttermilk Falls.* Roaring Run featured a gorge with rapids and large boulders, as well as some huge beech and tulip poplar trees.* There are many mountain bike and hiking trails on the property, including a falls.**Buttermilk Falls is known for once being owned by Mister Rogers grandfather, who had a cottage there.* Mister Rogers would visit the cottage and falls, and the experience would help inspire his famous childrens program.* The falls is about 46 feet tall, you can walk behind the falls, and features a small gorge.*
