Hikes near Johnsburg

I'll be renting a cabin in Johnsburg for several days next week and looking at outings in the area. Moxham and Peaked look like nice options for a bit of climbing. Any suggestions on flatter hikes to lakes/ponds/rivers that would be good for someone who hasn't spent much time in this part of the park ? Also if there are better options than Moxham/Peaked I'm all ears. I'll be with my wife and my dog, so probably 8 miles round trip is our limit.
