Beautiful day for a short off-trail hike - a little too warm in the afternoon.
Took N-P trail around Wood Lake... then up the southern slope of Lil Cathead. Nice view from clearing below top. Also, checked out a ledge SW of the top and 400 ft below (around 1700 ft elev). Decided to reclimb to the top and follow my track back down.
