锘? The iPhone 3G adidas running baratas , come later If you recall this time last month, we were clamoring for a look at the new iPhone 3G, Apple's much anticipated follow up to its uber phone. I wrote a positive first impression review on day 1 based on a handful of hours with the iPhone 3G. Apple Now we're a month in and I thought I'd chime in again looking at how the phone has performed in its first month, touching on issues that weren't included in the original story. The phone has had some rocky moments regarding battery life and 3G coverage issues. But I've been pretty happy with the device because, under most conditions, it really delivers a computer in your hand. When the first iPhone (from: http:http://ift.tt/2magEgY )appeared, it felt more like an iPod with a phone attached. Yes, it had an amazing browser but it was connected through EDGE nike air max 90 essential baratas , which made things slow when you weren't in Wi-Fi range. But now, with speedy 3G access and the ability to download applications, the phone now feels more like a real mobile Mac with a phone. And that changes the proposition for people, making it more useful and usable. But first, let's talk about some problems. The iPhone 3G had me worried the first week because of its thirsty battery consumption. I was running out of juice by mid afternoon on the first several days, which prompted me to carry my recharging plug everywhere I went. I wondered if it was the fact that I was constantly getting my Exchange email pushed out to me that was causing the battery woes. But about a week later, the phone seemed to settle down and manage its power consumption much more efficiently. I was able to get a full day's charge on most every day though asking it to go two days straight is, well nike air max 90 hyperfuse baratas , asking for trouble. The iPhone 3G is a victim of its own success in some ways. Other smart phones(from: http:http://ift.tt/2mdqRuP) boast similar battery life. But they don't make you want to use them as much as the iPhone. The browser is still stunning, especially with its faster speeds, and now with GPS and a slew of new apps, many of which require you to use it over 3G, you have a recipe for power drainage. I've learned all the tricks about how to conserve power like turning off your radios when you're not using them, turning down the screen brightness and what not. What I think would be great is a power save application right on the home page that allows you to choose all these settings and keep them in place right up until the time you need the phone to spring to life. You can turn the phone onto airplane mode right from the settings menu, which sort of accomplishes some of the task, but it also kills your ability to make and receive calls. It would be great if you could tell the iPhone 3G to kill the 3G radio nike air max 90 floral print , Wi-Fi, the Bluetooth antenna and GPS(from: http:http://ift.tt/2mdjLqc) while the phone is in my pocket. To do those things manually takes a number of clicks, which seems burdensome and unnecessary. One other battery-related issue: I found on a couple of occasions when the battery meter appeared high and didn't reflect the real state of my battery, which was getting close to empty. The other major issue I've found is the 3G coverage can be spotty and inconsistent. There are times when the iPhone 3G jumps back between EDGE and 3G and that's even when you're standing completely still. This didn't present many problems for phone calls as some people have reported, but it made the Internet experience less fulfilling occasionally and downright irritating sometimes. AT&T is still building out its 3G network and the coverage maps suggest it's made a lot of progress. But there were plenty of times when I was almost certain that I should be getting 3G service, even in parts of downtown Chicago where I was traveling and all I see is EDGE service. The Sprint phone that I also carried didn't have as many coverage limitations. There may be some fine tuning AT&T and Apple need to do to make sure the iPhone 3G works optimally on AT&T's network. Hopefully, it can be something improved through software updates. But for now, it's still a source of some frustration because it undercuts some of the promise of the iPhone 3G. The iPhone 3G nike air max 90 baratas españa , much more so than its predecessor, is about software(from: http:http://ift.tt/2mdk5oJ) as Steve Jobs likes to say. Jobs told the Wall Street Journal that the iPhone 3G users have downloaded 60 million applications in the first month and have paid for $30 million worth of applications. The iPhone 3G has proven to be a very robust platform for applications, not only because the phone supports some great uses, but because the App Store is so easy to navigate. I loaded up a variety of paid and free apps including games such as Super Monkey Ball, Bubble Bash and BreakClassic, productivity titles like Recorder, entertainment apps like Pandora and news and information apps such as SportsTap, Urbanspoon and Showtimes. Having easy access to them to download and use makes the iPhone 3G extremely powerful. For now nike roshe hyperfuse baratas , the applications have been good for diversions but there are so many titles being added each week that the promise of the iPhone 3G is being redefined constantly. One of the other big additions for the iPhone 3G has been the inclusion of a GPS chip. Since I've been traveling a lot in the last month, the GPS has been a big help in quickly and pretty accurately finding my way. Trying to track down a restaurant in Chicago or a bookstore in Las Vegas became easy when I was able to route my way there but also check my location to see if I'd overshot my target. You can't get automatic turn-by-turn directions with the GPS as you can with some Sprint and Verizon Wireless phone because it appears the GPS chip is not as sensitive as others. At times, your location on Google Maps can jump around a bit even if you're standing still. Overall, the iPhone 3G haRockies Not Successful With Pro.
