Amid the increasing threats targeting online users, global cybersecurity company Kaspersky offers monthly subscriptions for its anti-virus solution to Digi customers for as low as RM3 a month.
The company collaborates with Digi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd (Digi) to offer the telco’s customers Kaspersky’s robust cybersecurity solution across multiple platforms – Android, PC, and Mac via MyDigi Subscriptions by EasyAdd service.
The subscription is part of Kaspersky’s xSP for the telecommunication companies, which allows telco customers convenient access to the brand’s security products.
According to Yeo Siang Tiong, General Manager for Southeast Asia at Kaspersky, with more IT security breaches being reported in the press, the company wants to make it easier for consumers to find effective ways to protect their privacy, finances, and digital assets from malware and internet-based attacks.
“It is a hard-true fact that most individual users would spend premium on physical protective cases on their smartphones, and seldom they consider to spend the similar amount or much lesser on a security software. Despite the fact that they do many transactions involving personal data like bill payments, credit card transactions, online banking, online shopping, e-wallet, money transfer and others. But after the several data breaches being reported currently, I hope the alarm is now sounding louder,” Yeo said.
“Through our partnership with Digi, we hope to change the consumer mindset --- that cybersecurity is cumbersome and tedious --- by offering them our security solutions at a very reasonable rate, and through a single point of subscription which enhances their digital lifestyle,” he added.
