Trap Dyke conditions for Oct/Nov

Anyone know what conditions are like on Trap Dyke, now that the snow and ice have started? Is Trap Dyke slide more of an ice climb or can it be done in reasonable safety with crampons only? Not enough ice to warrant just boots?
