Debar Mountain Wild Forest Public Comments Please Help!!

The DEC is gathering public comments for development of the Debar Mountain Wild Forest's UMP. At stake is a great camp on the shores of spectacular Debar Pond. The town of Duane has been agitating for years that this property be conveyed to private ownership in the age old name of economic development. However, this area is one of the most popular and beautiful locations in northern Franklin County. It is public land and no such conveyance to private hands should be tolerated. (The building should be razed, imo.) Please submit comments encouraging the state to maintain public ownership of this property.
