This preserve is a great place to hike with fields, meadows, numerous vernal pools, and views. The views were from the meadows of the Allegheny Front. I enjoyed the wildflowers and the diverse forests of pine, hemlocks, and hardwoods.* Frogs croaked from the pools, remnants from the last ice age. The preserve is located north of Hughesville, PA. *
