Who is Frank Gutting?

I have seen this quote all over the web, on Facebook memes, in martial arts essays, etc. But I have never heard of Frank Gutting and I can't seem to find anything on him using Google other than this quote. Can anyone shed some light on who he is? It's a great quote, but I wouldn't want to use it if I know nothing about the man or if he is even worth quoting.
