Hiking at Raquette Falls

The date was 4/12/17 we had a group of 10. Our destination was to camp next to the raquette falls lean to which turned out to be a horrible choice due to all the mud and the awful view. We hiked back a little bit to lean to number 2 which was a lot dryer and had a better view. We set out on the trial at 10:30 in the morning and arrived at lean to number 2 at 3:30 in the afternoon. Overall the hike in was a total of 5 miles due to having to turn around and go back, had we stayed the first time it would have been 4.2 miles. once settled in it was a little cold once we stopped moving and it was 35 degrees but at night it dropped to about 10. We ate hamburgers and hot dogs and warmed up by the fire before we fell asleep. We ate pancake and eggs for breakfast the next morning and headed out at 9:30 and got to the parking lot at scattered times. My trail mate and i arrived at about 11:15 and we waited for the rest of the group and headed home.:clap:
