Years ago I used a mountain bike on Bakertown Rd from Harrisburg Lake to get back to Wilcox Lake (4.8 miles). The road was in very bad shape and only suitable for 4 Wheel vehicles with high clearance. Now, according to the new 2014 edition of Discover the S.Adirondacks ,"the town of Stoney Creek laid down a new gravel surface in 2012 for the 1st 2 1/2 miles"; and it is "fit for just about any vehicle". Has anyone actually driven this route with a regular vehicle( i.e. car)? How was it? Has it been maintained since 2012? Thanks:boozing:
