So my son and I, maybe a few others, are looking to do a 3 section hike.
The 1st May 9th to 10th Norhville to Piseco
The 2nd May 16th to 17th Piseco to Wakely Dam
The 3rd May 22nd to 25th Wakely Dam to Placid
My first concern is how wet is this going to be. I've been told it is wet and muddy. Anyone want to confirm or deny this?
Second is the guide book says that in order to qualify for the NPT patch and get in the history books sectional hikers have to do the first 6, or 9, miles on the road this is hiking north starting in Northville? I don't have my guide with me to confirm the road but it's right at the very beginning. Do we have to do that to complete the NPT trail?
