Huckleberry/ Crane Mt. Paint Beds

I see that there is an older thread noting the private land access routes are off limits. I see there is also a route that goes over Crane Mt. past the pond and down the back side. A bushwack of sorts that follows the stream down. Looks to have some pretty cool cliff faces to check out. I'm not a rock climber, but can appreciate the scenery just the same.
Has anybody done this hike?
Thinking I may give it a try later this spring before the leaves are in full bloom.
