Oxshoe Pond, Pharaoh Lake Wilderness

Enjoyed a fantastic overnight backpacking trip to Oxshoe Pond in the Pharaoh
Lake Wilderness this past weekend with the Adirondack Wilderness Explorers Meetup Group.
We hiked in from the Long Swing Trail (AKA the Blue Hill Trail) on Route 74.
Weather was absolutely gorgeous both days! Some of us brought snowshoes,
but they really weren't needed with the small amount of lingering patches of
snow. Spikes were more helpful. There was still some ice on Crane Pond,
Glidden Marsh, and Oxshoe Pond, but it was melting pretty fast in the warmer
temps. Clear skies at night with an almost full moon.
