Can I work on push kicks against a wall?

Not the actual kicking obviously... but the push itself. I have a heavy bag (150 lbs), but using that really moves around the top of it and it's hard to practice the move properly. I just want to get a little more umph behind it and pushing against a wall seems like the resistance would help with that as well as maybe helping with some flexibility.
