Fall trout and Salmon?

I am new to this forum/ site but not the area. I am planning on a trip this September to fish for trout and landlocks. I will fish the west branch for trout as I like this river a lot. However,I do not know much about the landlock fishing and could use a little direction.

More than willing to trade info on Ct fishing with someone.
