The biggest rematch to date of Jon Jones v Gustafsson in Sept is off.
Gustafsson has torn his meniscus during training. Cormer was also due for knee
and heal up to fight the winner of Jones/Gustafsson but has decided to delay it.
Thats another fighter off the books for a torn meniscus for the UFC in as many weeks. Nurmagomedov is also out with a torn meniscus....20 MINUTES after signing the contract to fight Cerrone!
That would mean both guys won't be ring ready till at least early 2015.
Cormier can so take this. He's intelligent, powerful, great grappler (better wrestler), handles taller guys very well. But an obvious reach disadvantage and also an openly known dodgy knee which will be a big old target.
