Lake George Camping

Has anyone camped on Lake G? Are there any first-come-first-serve State-owned places to camp like the rest of the ADKs?



Looking to avoid all the fees and registration. I'm aware of all the islands and the reservation processes, etc. Just wondering if there are alternatives, particularly for Sept-Oct. Would be boating in.
