Hi all.. Indian Lake/Lake Albanakee is not an area with which we are very familiar.
We were thinking of paddling/exploring/fishing Lake Abanakee. I believe the last time we were down Chain Lakes Road exploring the new Gooley Club area I noticed a put in at the northern end of the lake and south of any rapids on the Indian River. Is that a legitimate put in area?
In paddling south from that point what will we encounter as far as dams and "carry arounds"? We would like to be able to paddle south under? Route 28 and eventually "cross" Big Brook Road and possibly Jerry Savarie Road possibly exploring the beginnings of Round Pond Brook and Big Brook as a daytrip. I realize most of Albanakee shoreline is private property. Are there any recommended spots in pull in and stretch one's legs along the way? Not really looking to work our way into Indian Lake.
