With Mom out of town and after much debate we decided on a trip to Stillwater Reservoir for a 'guys' trip to end off the summer. The three of us managed the paddle about 1/2 way down the reservoir and set up shop for 3 days and 2 nights. The weather was all over the place but we made the best of it. Fished a good bit and had a lot of success with the smallmouths. Side trips to Wolf creek and many of the small islands that spring up when they have the water level drawn down made things interesting. The Loons were nice and loud which is always fun, the boys had an absolute blast swimming, making smores, and running around in the sand. So much so that now we’re now thinking about maybe a September trip somewhere....
