On my recent trip to the high peaks area I found a good restaurant in Lake Placid, Delta Blues. May be old news, but it's the first time I've encountered it; that space in the Northwoods Inn used to be a pretty average burger-type restaurant. This place has great BBQ and Cajun food. I tried a gumbo with some trepidation - it's often terribly made, but when it's good, it's very good. This was very good. Another night had ribs with wonderful fried okra. And great blues playing on the sound system. The only sad thing is that they've covered up the wildlife murals on the walls, but for that food & music I'll forgive them.
