I hiked Hadley Mountain on Friday October 3rd. I wanted to get out and hike before the rain forecast for Saturday. The parking lot was pretty full even though I arrived mid-afternoon on a Friday. The hike to the summit was pretty quick and uneventful. The views from the ledges around the base of the tower were very nice with the fall colors. After a quick water break and snack I headed across the summit ridge towards Roundtop Mountain. I have never explored the summit area despite a number of trips to the tower. There are numerous patches of open rock and ledges with views in all directions. It was a great area to explore. There was a flagged route headed over towards Roundtop, but it avoided the summit ridge and a number of views. I stayed up on the ridge. I didnt make it all the way over to Roundtop because it was getting late, but I plan to go back and complete the trip. A few photos:
