Plaques

I'm interested in some of the plaques you find out in the woods. I don't mean the obvious ones like Marcy, but the ones that are memorials to people you sometimes find at ponds, off-trail peaks, etc.



I would like to dig into the history of each plaque, find out who "John/Jane Doe" was, why his/her plaques is there (lover of the woods, mighty hunter, etc).



I plan on publishing this in one way or another, probably a blog and can spend time researching at local historian offices, post offices, etc.



Please let me know where these plauqes are and I will try to find out more about the people they memorialize.
