Trying to figure out what martial art to sign up for family of 6.

I'm the mom and I want to figure out what to sign us up for. We want to learn self defense/real world street fighting knowledge. I don't think any of us care to compete. My youngest kid is 5 and my oldest will be 16. My 16yr old has been bullied but luckily never been in a fight. I just don't want them to live in fear. In my city, there is tkd, wing chun, bjj , kickboxing, Muay Thai , jkd, etc. I'm also wanting to know what is a reasonable price. I don't like the idea of belt testings but I guess if it's necessary ( I just know it can get $$$). What would you recommend? We also don't want anything that is overly spiritual.
