I have been backpacking/climbing here since '69 and have been fortunate that none of my dogs have ever gotten injured during our adventures. However, is there an emergency animal rescue group similar to those brave people who rescue injured humans? When a hiker is hurt or lost a whole lot of people are called into action to help that hiker. An injured dog would be a lot less complicated in most instances.
