2 old coots on Coots Hill

This little gem is part of the Moriah Challenge which unbeknown to me I've already done 3.TH is off Lang Rd in Crown Pt/Port Henry,with a high clearance vehicle you can drive all the way to th,we walked the road because we had a Prius.At the cemetery you take the jeep road to the L and it's a short easy hike to the top,great open rock and spectacular views.The place is known as a raptor viewing area and didn't disappoint with a flock of Turkey Vultures doing mock ariel combat/mating(?) and a pair of pissed off Perigren Falcons trying to be territorial.We also ran into a large ball of twenty something Yellow Swallowtail moths/butterflies hanging out in the middle of the dirt road.Bugs were nonexistent with a stiff breeze but mosquitos in the woods which Off worked well on.http://ift.tt/2c3KQFj Some pics.http://ift.tt/16tiKYC
