Floatable rivers southeast dacks/capital region?

I have been lake fishing my canoe + trolling motor for a long time now. I am interested in getting on some smaller rivers but not sure where to start. Hudson and Mohawk are a little big for me. I was looking at Boquet and Schroon, where they enter Champlain/Schroon respectively, but it's hard to know where to access and what sections are passable. Any recommendations?
