a block is a lock is a blow is a throw

here is an easy formula to help you invent your own forms/kata and techniques, the title says it all.... no matter what comes at you, block it, grab the attacking appendage you just blocked and lock it - you can use a trapping technique or a jointlock - followed by a quick strike or kick, or series of strikes and kicks to weaken your opponent, setting you up for a nice easy throw or takedown, allowing you to escape to safety.... try applying this 4-step formula in one fluid motion.... how many combinations can you think of using this formula against different punches and kicks? how practical do you think this formula is for self defense?
