OK Slip Falls - 5/10/14

My wife, Leesa, and I couldn't wait any longer to check out OK Slip Falls. We wanted the ice to be gone, but high spring water to still be flowing over the falls.

We managed to get in there on Saturday and we weren't disappointed. What an awesome falls!

We started on Route 28 at the Ross Pond trailhead. After .4 miles we branched right, following pink flagging in a NE direction for 1.7 miles. After crossing the Northern Frontier Road at that point, there was a trail marked with blue disks the rest of the way to the falls. There is also an additional .8 mile blue trail that continues on to the Hudson River.

Total trip was about 8 miles and 4.5 hours. Wonderful waterfall. We didn't try and work our way down into the bottom of the gorge. It is really steep and deep. The falls drops about 250' in a single cascade.
