Perhaps for JWT

Recently, I was in a discussion about self defense and someone else, who I was introduced to me at that time, started to share what his ideas on self defense was.

He was all too proud to demonstrate some of his methods.

He had demonstrated;

How he can use high kicks in defense. (I am not too much of advocate of kivcking high in SD)

How he can parry, trap, block some one attacking him with a knife.

How he could perform so many moves when someone threw a straight punch at him

All I wanted to do was watch him mesmerized the small audience we had and soak it in with a mental agony of disgust. In other words, I was too disgusted to say much

After a short time, I guess he, like others within the group observed that I did not speak. Finally, someone wanted to know, what was on my mind.

The only question that came to mind, I had asked this "Defense Icon", was does he ever incorporate "situational awareness"?

He took this to mean sparring "blindfolded"

The sad thing was, he was statng that he was going to teach a public self defense class in a public recreational hall.

What shall I do?

Intervene whenever he is having this class?

Open another class after he has his? (I am no Guru in Teaching Self Defense-but I think I hold my on on the basics/foundations)

Shall I, or anyone, continue to have people like this mislead the public?
