Camping at Forked Lake after it closes

I've seen several threads on this but a lot of them are older. It seems "Ok" to camp at Forked after the official camping season ends after Labor Day and I'd like to explore this option since some of the best camping is done in the fall. It's my favorite season..after the summer crowds are gone and the weather is cooler. I'd like to camp out at Forked Lake in the fall but can I park my car in the parking lot without a problem for 4 days and is there the chance that the rangers will come and throw me out?



I don't mind about the facilities not being open. My camping is usually on the "primitive" side so it's not a problem and I prefer not to have a dock for my kayak. I just like to pull up, unload, set up camp and enjoy. :)
