Science!: Proper books vs E-thingies.

A few years ago I decided to set myself a reading challenge and read 52 books a year. The challenge was a lot of fun and I have actually stuck with it. One of the other parts of the challenge was to read books that I normally wouldn't...broaden my horizons and all that.

To save money I scratch around for free ebooks, buy cheapies, or get ebooks from the library. The only time I buy paper books is when I really can't find a ebook to read or it's a keepie (usually music related).

But I noticed that I can hardly remember a damn thing I read. I thought it was because I was getting old, or perhaps it's because I was cramming in too much. The odd thing though was I read a paper back the other day and can remember pretty much the majority of the book.

But it's not my old age or cramming...It's those accursed e-things. Science has proved it as FACT! I am not going senile and technology is ruining us all.

Anyway - I found this article quite interesting. I'd love to see any further research on the subject and wonder if there's any truth in it.

Discuss or not...I don't care. I can send a paper copy if you want. ;)
