Caves on(in) Chimney Mountain

We were planning on possibly making a little jaunt up Chimney and I was wondering about these caves. I am perfectly aware of the Eagle Cave and the hundreds even thousands of square feet of the extensive network which requires rappel and climbing gear. However, I have seen numerous references towards an easy cave. I see hikers in sweatshirts and flashlights poking around in a cave with a ladder. Even little kids. None had anything resembling caving gear. I'm assuming the cave is a minor branch or something but I would be interested to know any information on it. I find the hand drawn caving maps to be beyond me.



PS- If I am not wrong in my assumption, we have plenty of cold weather stuff so we don't get hypothermia in there, and the gear to properly deal with ice. We just don't have rappel gear.
