I'm looking for a non-peak hike that could be done during Thanksgiving week. I don't have the equipment or experience to tackle a peak in the cold, snow and ice conditions.
I saw an earlier discussion about High Falls Loop but I'm not sure I want to do 15+ miles. But that would be the type of hike I'm looking to do.
I will be staying at our place outside Croghan, which is on the SW side of the ADKs. It would be nice to find a place within an hour or so of that location.
Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.
