Question about Physics

Hypothetical situation:



If you have an iron rod, say.... 10 lightyears long, and te iron pole had no give in it, and it could not twist or bend.



And hypothetically there was someone at both ends who could push and pull this rod. Wouldn't it be information travelling faster than light?



I've just always wondered....
