Why Do You Need a Seagate NAS HDD?
When it comes to preserving that precious moment, that snapshot of history, or that photograph you crafted based on years of experience, nothing less than the best will do and there is no better storage that is specifically designed for network-attached storage (NAS) system than Seagate NAS HDD.
Danny Yen Sin Wong, Photographer
Multiple international award winner Danny is a natural teacher. He is always ready to share his experience, knowledge, and give advice with a smile. He traveled the world in the name of his passion as a photographer, judge, instructor, speaker, and photography expedition leader.
His photography and expeditions are world renowned and he truly understands the needs of a photographer on an adventure.
The skill of photography can be learned and the best way to do it is to enter international photo competitions, learn from others who participate, and understand criticism that the judges give you. When you truly understand photography, the camera you use does not matter. You will know your equipment and you can see in your minds eye how to get the picture you want, said Danny.
Nevertheless, all that legwork would be for naught if you cant store your photos. Danny explained that although the memory cards capacity is large, they are not large enough and storing all the photos there is not feasible.
Previously, I used to solely rely on my notebook or an external hard drive to store pictures from my cameras memory card when Im on the field, said Danny.
He added that when clients wanted to see his pictures, he used to have to either upload to them via email, FTP or even cloud storage. However, those methods require a very stable Internet connection, which is a luxury when traveling.
In the case of cloud storage, he is also not in full control of his own pictures. Sometimes, it is because of licenses and other times, it is because the resolution of the pictures stored on these services is not good enough.
But storing, sorting, and sharing pictures are easier for me now that I am using an ASUSTOR NAS with Seagate NAS HDD. After a long day of shooting, I can go back to my hotel, connect my notebook to the Internet and it will automatically upload my pictures to the NAS at home.
I have full control of the NAS system. I can set restrictions and share the photos easily, and it is all stored in full resolution. For example, when my client wants to see a photo, I can grant them access to the whole album via an email link, said Danny.
As such, he does not need to worry about the speed and stability of the Internet connection in his location every time he needs to share or gain access to photos he stored offsite.
The NAS has truly become an indispensable tool for photographers. Having your own personal storage that is accessible anywhere and anytime which is also all under your control is wonderful, added Danny.
