Highest base to peak day hike

I have tried googling but to no avail - does anyone know the greatest base to peak elevation gain day hike in the region? I am guessing Giant but may be wrong. Any info would be much appreciated. Many thanks!

Also - if anyone has info about this in other local areas it would also be helpful (Catskills, Whites, Katahdin, Smokies, etc.)
