A friend of mine was out with the boys, including my ex boyfriend, and got his face pummelled for merely talking to some guy's girlfriend. This friend is one of the nicest and most respectful people I know, and I know he wouldn't have provoked anything. Now he's in hospital, didn't even fight back. My question is, where the hell were the other guys? My ex said he only turned his back for like 2 seconds. Yeah right! I think that's just cowardly! And it was just one guy! If you're in the vicinity, you jump in! If you only see it as the guy's walking away, you chase him down! Wouldn't you??
Now some of his friends are saying they know who the guy is. But no one seems to want to do anything about it (if you know what I mean). Yeah sure two wrongs don't make a right, sure it's not the legally advisable thing to do...but sometimes you just want to see it done. I'm disappointed in my/his friends, particularly my ex. He's saying we shouldn't take any action, just report it to the police. But I believe some people need to be put in their place. Not even necessarily physical violence, but at least intimidation and confrontation. Letting it go is just weak!
