So happy to have found this site! I could spend all day reading posts!
My husband and I have been vacationing in the adirondacks off and on for over 20 years. We love it!!!! We are now looking to purchase a very modest cabin/cottage as a vacation place. The trouble is, we are having trouble trying to narrow exactly where we want to be!
Here is what we do know:
We definitely want waterfront- preferably a lake or pond
We definitely want a small, quiet body of water. We are not opposed to a non-motorized lake or pond.
We love to kayak, hike, bike, x-country ski.
We don't want to be TOO far from closest town- 20 min or so
Any thoughts on where we should narrow our search? We have been to the piseco lake area, newcomb, loon lake area, keene valley, and garnet hill. We are interested in other places we have not thought of or hadn't heard of. Thank you so much!!!!
