Did a search but nothing came up, and google gave me some info. One trail report I read the guy said both times he came by there the lean to had a lot of garbage laying around the site. Is this lean to one of those that is frequented by the wrong kind of people? I am looking for a relatively straight forward backpack trip this coming October for maybe three nights out. Would prefer to keep the initial hike to a lean to under six miles. I have been to Colden and Pharaoh numerous times, and backpacked into Fishbrook a little over a year ago. Queer Lake seems like a nice, quiet site and so does Moose Mountain perhaps. I will be up there early in the week to avoid Friday - Sunday. Siamese Pond seems like it is pretty crowded, and prefer as much solitude as I can get. A mountain nearby to climb would be great as would trails offering nice hikes during the days I am there. Most of my backpacking is in the high peaks area so I am not really familiar with more laid back hikes in other areas of the Park.
