I'm looking for ideas for winter sites, primitive or lean to doesn't matter but I'd like a spot where I can have a fire, that is the only requirement. Only ever camped at Crane Pond in the winter, several times. I'd prefer something that doesn't require too epic of a hike in as I'll be bringing some winter virgins. I'll probably only have 2 nights so I don't want to spend too long getting in. Basically if you were going to take a few guys in for the first time in January and you don't want them to hate it where would you go? All healthy adults, no kids. I'll make sure they are properly outfitted, just want some easily accessible spots to take them.
