The wife, dog and I spent the weekend at my folks cabin in Eagle Bay. When we got there, we took Koda to swim in Fourth Lake at the "little beach". I was a bit worried about the temperature of the water but Koda wasn't . He played and splashed on the sand bar for a long time.
After that we hiked Around Moss Lake and took the side trail to Sis and Bubb. The woods were full of Trout Lilies.Of the hike, my favorite part is from Moss to Sis and Bubb. Much less eroded and muddy. That night I climbed Eagle Cliff for the sunset.
On Sunday we climbed Eagle cliff again in the morning, brought the dog to swim in Fourth Lake again and wrapped up with a hike in to Windfall Pond. I love this trail so much! There were trout lilies, purple trillium and painted trillium everywhere.
We've taken it all the way to Queer Lake several times and I have a dream hike planned where I take it all the way up and over West Mountain to a car spotted in Raquette Lake.
