Indian Pass - ADK Loj to Upper Works thru hike

Thinking about taking a group along this trail. I've read some info on both sides of Summit. Can anyone give me advice regarding ease of staying on trail, how long will it take, how difficult to do in a day. Maybe a quick description end to end.



Also, may go with one other adult or.... Me, another adult & 6 kids ages 9-13. All have hiked most of the fire towers & a few other moderate hikes. Will they survive? Lol
