We hiked Moxham on Saturday July 5th. It was a beautiful day to hike on a great new trail. I previously hiked this area both before the trail was built and after. I think that it is a great addition to the North Creek/Minerva region; a great ridge walk with very nice views. The trail makes this area accessible for more people, but there are still lots of bushwhack opportunities in the area.
We arrived around lunch time and we got a recently vacated spot in the small parking lot that has room for 4 or 5 cars. There were a total of about a dozen cars in the lot and along the road. The last couple of hundred yards of the road was a little steep/rough, but the drive in was really no problem. The trail is well marked and it is wearing in pretty well. There is just one steep section that has some erosion. The bugs were not a problem at all. This is becoming one of my (many) favorites. A couple of photos.....
