Saw this on the other forum and wanted to put it here also to add a big Thank You to all the folks in the Blue Mountain Lake area for the response to the injury incident on Saturday 1/18. We were told that the population is around 125 in the winter, and it seemed like at least 120 of them showed up to help out!
Also to thank them for the compliments we received from the EMT staff about how well the injury was treated with first aid (splint, wrapping with tarp for carrying) and also from a ranger the following day near Avalanche Lake who had heard it on the radio and was glad to hear about a group that knew what to do when there was an issue like this.
